Very effective
I have an older home with dampness under the house. I use DampRid to keep away the musty smell that accompanies that dampness. This is the best product I've found.
A no no
I should have purchased this at Lowes or some like store because at least, I would have been able to purchase it with the cover seal unopened. When I opened the delivery carton this item came in, it looked like, it was just dropped into the box right out of the bin without ANY protective wrap. Results, the thin plastic seal you're suppose to open when you're ready to use was punctured in almost every vent hole in the plastic top. I would return this but I'm afraid the carrier might not accept the package because of the smell and rattle it makes inside the delivery box. I can not rate the effectiveness of this product because most of the product was left in the delivery carton. IMO, Amazon should not sell this product because of the manufacturers packaging.

I dont know if it is the quality of the product or some plastic defect but only 3 of the 5 have cracked. One was cracked when it arrived so that is poor packaging , I am check the rest and they looked find but less than a month 2 more have cracked on the bottom licking the sticky substance. The plastic is to thin and cheap and cracks very quickly. Will never buy again,
