GE Dryer Slide for Bearing shelf
My husband bought 4 slides along with a new "bearing", which is the plastic half-circle shelf on which the dryer drum rests while turning, located immediately over the access door. There are four slides on the bearing, two white and two green. We use the dryer almost daily and the original slides had worn completely away, and the bearing shelf was also worn almost through too. The dryer was squealing like a thing possessed when we turned to Amazon. The parts arrived quickly and were easy to install. The only tool required was a Phillips-head screwdriver. It took about 20 minutes to figure out the disassembly and replacement. The parts cost around $75.00 and voila! The dryer is repaired and running perfectly. We are very pleased.
Dryer was making scraping noises - this was an easy fix
This is a part that wears out. If your dryer is scraping or getting loud this could be the issue. There are white and green one's, make sure you replace them both,
