Shark Battery Pack
Don't throw away your Shark, if like many, your battery gives out. This replacement pack, properly charged when you receive it, should make your Shark sweeper run like new. It surely did, for mine, which had heavy and daily use for over a year, until I noticed the original battery pack would not hold a charge, likely due to "memory."
This unit is SO EASY to install, and takes only seconds. I would suspect that in many cases, users who are unhappy with the Shark sweepers, and "apparent" battery problems, need a replacement like this, in addition to making sure that the battery is DISCHARGED before putting the sweeper back on the charging unit. This, alone will extend battery life, considerably.
XBP610 is not the same as XBP610N
This battery is not for XBP610N model, buy it from somewhere else or through Shark. It will work if you modified the battery metal connector by cutting it but motifying the battery will damage your sweeper if you try to recharged the unit and you will create a spark, so don't tell me I did not warn you about it.

Battery does not fit properly at all. (NO MODIFICATION PLEASE), $20.00 down the drain and follow instruction before you begin working on any Shark Item, it is very picky and will work only on that model for parts and battery. Old model Sweeper will no longer have the replacement parts available after five years or so. You would have to send the whole unit to the company and wait for it to get back which is at least a month if you want to recharge or get a part replacement done that will cost you time and money. The battery is just a hassle to deal with, so be patient and plan...
